Know the difference between what the Spirit says you can have and what your circumstances say you can have. When something is revealed in your spirit that hasn't yet manifested in real life, people will think you're crazy and YOU WILL FEEL CRAZY, but when you BELIEVE something is yours, IT'S YOURS! Your circumstances CANNOT keep anything from you that God says is for you!
Like the blind man Jesus healed at the pool of Siloam…
“… He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and applied the clay to his eyes and said to him, ‘Go, wash in the pool of Siloam.’ So he went away and washed, and came back seeing.” - John 9:6-7
The man is already blind, then Jesus covers his eyes with mud and tells him to find his way to the water? Imagine how crazy he looked to the people watching! Imagine how crazy he felt, being blind since birth, trusting this strange man who just spit on him, now stumbling towards the pool. This is EXACTLY how it feels to walk out the promises of God. But the Bible says, “… Hope that is seen is not hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?” (Romans 8:24) God expects us to walk BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT!
Please note (John 9:1-5), that God often calls out for us when we are not necessarily looking for Him, placing His desires on our hearts, throwing us COMPLETELY OFF. We are usually left feeling confused and a mess, thinking there’s NO WAY we can pursue those things at that moment… “I can’t afford that,” “I don’t have the education,” “I can’t live without this job security,” “I’ve done too much wrong in my life,” etc, etc, etc… Trust me… if God is revealing something new in your spirit, RECEIVE IT! Don’t fight it! When your CIRCUMSTANCES dictate something different than your SPIRIT does, it simply means it’s time to stop trying to figure things out on your own and look to Him. Pray, fast, and ask Him to reveal more and more to you each day. And you don’t have to beg. Pray CONFIDENTLY, understanding that this is your Father’s plan, He’s just been waiting for you to get on board. It’s yours! Go get it!
